The starting post

Now that I think about it, perhaps I should have started a "thing-a-day" or "365" blog. Then, I'd actually have something to show each day. Now, yikes! It's just my brain on exhibit.

But here we are: the monkey, me, you.

Everything that was ever made was once an idea. That idea is really the inspiration for Monkey Buckets. I've considered this before, many times. Seeing Monkey Buckets, taking a photo of Monkey Buckets, and ultimately purchasing Monkey Buckets and installing Monkey Buckets in the studio really drove the idea home.

Somewhere, sometime in the past, the idea for Monkey Buckets was born. And that fact simply astonishes me.

Yes! I have a Monkey Bucket (using the term generically) that I took to the museum one volunteering day. I was showing it off at lunch and someone pointed out that while we were sitting around thinking up ideas for exhibits and programs, someone else was sitting around thinking up the idea for ...this. Not that exhibits and programs are superior to my Monkey Bucket, but they are so amazingly different, or something. Yes, it makes the brain hum. Ok, I'll stop now - I don't think comments are supposed to be longer than the post

Good to see you up and running!

You know...you can start a 365 thing-a-day project ANYtime...doesn't have to be on January 1. In fact, I had originally thought I would start mine on my b'day.

You just need to do it for a full year from when you start. hint, hint

Congrats on making your blog! (And thanks for changing the comments setting!)
